My longtime friend and co-conspirator, Laurie Criego, wrote and produced the movie, Mother Nature and the Doomsday Prepper. This light-hearted, fun movie offers some comic relief on an important topic.
Lately, I can relate to the “doomsday blues” all too well! The Annunciation church shooting hit too close to home, with my family having many ties and experiences there. At times, my concerns have felt over-powering and my thoughts clouded by sadness, worry, doubt, and fear. I am well aware we are living in the midst of a troubled world.
So I return to my trusted friend, Mother Nature, for care and guidance. Within this refuge, I can feel, express and breathe with my concerns without impacting others. I hike and explore, pause to put my feet in the mountain streams. I speak with the animals, the deer, the birds on my path, and say hello. I feel completely safe and even consoled, and surely connected.
Immersing myself into the natural world heals and inspires me. It has since I was young. I find my creativity returns and I know what to do next. Ahhhh, what a gift!!
You can understand why the MOVES game was built on this love of natural wisdom, as eastern spiritual masters pointed to long ago. What I continually learn is connecting and appreciating nature’s gifts offers a mutually beneficial relationship. We realize our interconnection, and create more from wholeness.
If you are being stretched in some way, I invite you to play the MOVES game in the self-paced online version. It guides you to simply eco-create.
