Making friends with BIG change
| In April, the parent company Jerry (my husband) worked for was purchased by new equity partners. Unfortunately, they disbanded the part Jerry was part of, and all 60 guys were let go. Although we sensed something was up, this was shocking news!
The night before this happened we played the MOVES game. Jerry’s cards pointed to choosing work that would bring him the most joy. One card he picked was particularly significant: “If you were completed supported and others requested your services, what would you be doing?” My cards pointed to staying embodied and present. Thus I knew my task was to listen and focus on wisdom, NOT FEAR, while we sorted through our next steps. After Jerry went through a number of interviews and received a few job offers, he was hired by a Colorado company for a 2-year project. He definitely lit up when he received this offer. So we sold our home along with lots of possessions. Our “dancing prairie” received multiple offers and sold instantly. We moved to Colorado in May. Whoa. Also, during this transition, I was preparing to speak at the International Energy Psychology conference (ACEP) in AZ. This pushed me to finish the online version of the MOVES game. It was intense, but all went well.
